Stronghold. Softhold is an artist’s book developed in parallel with the exhibition of the same title. Bringing together photography, artworks, literary writing, and material experiments, it reflects on how images, stories, and acts of making can become places to inhabit—spaces that move between mythology, lived experience, history, and the archive without settling into any single narrative.

Rather than documenting the exhibition, the publication extends its way of thinking. Photography serves as a mode of attention rather than illustration; writing continues where images fall silent; sketches, material residues, fragments of process, and bodily encounters are allowed to remain alongside finished works as equal participants in an open field of associations.

Familiar distinctions—between nature and culture, document and fiction, artwork and trace—gradually soften as pages turn, making space for unexpected affinities to emerge as observation, memory, and imagination continually reshape one another.

As an artist’s book, Stronghold. Softhold is not a container for the work but another site where it continues to unfold, offering a place in which it can be encountered anew.

Unreal Space follows forms as they come into being. Moving between washes of color, translucent forms, and ceramic fragments, the images drift between botanical, bodily, ceramic, and topographical worlds, remaining suspended in a state of continuous transformation.

Rather than presenting painting as representation, the book approaches it as a way of seeing. Forms drift between flower, body, vessel, mineral, and organism without settling into any single image. Color behaves less as description than as material—bleeding, staining, absorbing, and carrying the memory of touch. Each page records a moment of becoming rather than a finished composition.

Sequenced through the rhythm of turning pages, the images accumulate as quiet transformations rather than narrative events. Repetition, variation, and subtle shifts in scale encourage a slower attention, allowing perception to move freely between recognition and uncertainty.
